This measure is intended to prevent the increased risk of fires and safety accidents due to dry spring weather conditions, as well as a rise in elections, grave visits, and outdoor activities. It will be carried out alongside special emergency duty for the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival.

During the special emergency duty period, the Changwon Fire Department will conduct fire safety inspections at multi-use facilities, patrol areas adjacent to forests and fire-prone zones, and pre-deploy firefighting resources for rapid initial response. In cooperation with the police and local governments, efforts will be strengthened to secure fire truck access routes and crack down on illegal burning activities.

In particular, to prevent wildfires, preventive activities will be intensified around major hiking trails and park cemeteries, and fire safety promotion and education will be provided to visitors and hikers.

Additionally, to ensure a swift response in case of emergencies, all staff emergency contact networks will be checked, firefighting equipment will be maintained at 100% operational readiness, and major roads and alternate dispatch routes will be secured in advance.

Changwon Fire Department Chief Lee Sanggi stated, "We will do our utmost to prevent fires and respond swiftly during Cheongmyeong and Hansik," and added, "We ask citizens to refrain from using fire during grave visits and outdoor activities, and to strictly follow wildfire prevention guidelines."
