Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation Selects 57 Scholars This Year... Full Tuition Support for 2 Years

Various Academic Promotion and Scholarship Programs Launched Since Its Establishment in 1996

On the 1st, the Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation held the "29th Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony" at the Ottogi Center located in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, the foundation announced on the 2nd.

The event, attended by executives of the Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation and 57 new scholarship students for 2025, proceeded in the order of opening, scholarship certificate awarding, and an encouragement speech by Ham Young-jun, chairman of the Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation. Chairman Ham Young-jun presented scholarship certificates to the students, and the 57 scholarship recipients will receive full tuition scholarships from the Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation for two years.


The Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation was established in 1996 by the late Ham Tae-ho, honorary chairman and founder of Ottogi, who donated his private assets to set up the foundation. The foundation carries out various academic promotion projects and scholarship programs. Since starting scholarship support for 14 students at 5 universities in 1997, it has awarded scholarships totaling 9.2 billion KRW to 1,361 students to date. Additionally, since supporting the construction of advanced lecture halls at 5 universities in 2018, it has provided 3.4 billion KRW to 22 universities.


In 2009, the foundation established the "Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Academic Award," which is awarded twice a year through the Korean Society of Food Science and Technology and the Korean Society of Food and Nutrition Science. The award recognizes two professors in the food field who have made significant contributions to the development of the food industry and the improvement of human dietary life, granting prize money of 60 million KRW. To date, a total of 30 recipients have been honored. Furthermore, since 2013, the foundation has provided research funding to researchers in the food field, supporting a total of 118 researchers with over 11.2 billion KRW in research funds to date.
