SK Hynix has donated 2.33 billion KRW to the Community Chest of Korea to support vulnerable groups.
According to SK Hynix on the 1st, the company held the '2025 Happiness Sharing Fund Ceremony' at its Icheon campus in Gyeonggi Province on the 31st of last month and delivered this year's donation. The fund is raised through a matching grant system, where SK Hynix employees voluntarily contribute an amount and the company matches the same amount.
The Happiness Sharing Fund is a social contribution program that has been operating since 2011 and celebrated its 15th anniversary this year. Last year's donation amounted to 2.3 billion KRW, benefiting a total of 9,925 people. The support projects include various programs for socially disadvantaged groups, including nurturing talent in information and communication technology (ICT).
As of last year, the number of beneficiaries and support scale by project were: Heinstein 4,729 people, Happiness GPS 1,690 units, Silver Friend 1,000 people, Happiness ICT Study Lab 1,609 people, Happiness Lunchbox 810 people, and Hi-Classic 6 people. The cumulative donation amount of the Happiness Sharing Fund reached 34.5 billion KRW as of the end of last year.
Kim Jeong-il, Vice President of External Cooperation at SK Hynix, said, "Thanks to the participation of our members, we have been able to continue the Happiness Sharing Fund for over 15 years," adding, "We will continue the tradition of realizing social value in the future."
