Hyundai Motor, Global Sales of 360,000 Units in March... 2% Decrease Year-on-Year

Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 1st that it sold 365,812 units worldwide in March this year, a 2% decrease compared to the same month last year.


Domestic sales amounted to 63,090 units, while overseas sales were 302,722 units. Compared to the same period last year, domestic sales increased by 0.9%, while overseas sales decreased by 2.6%.

In the domestic market in March this year, Hyundai sold 63,090 units, a 0.9% increase compared to the same month last year.


Sedans sold a total of 18,186 units, including 6,211 units of the Grandeur, 4,588 units of the Sonata, and 6,829 units of the Avante.


Recreational Vehicles (RVs) sold a total of 22,433 units, including 5,591 units of the Santa Fe, 4,536 units of the Tucson, 2,869 units of the Kona, and 2,025 units of the Casper.


The Porter recorded sales of 5,653 units, the Staria sold 3,717 units, and medium-to-large buses and trucks sold a total of 2,400 units.


The premium brand Genesis sold a total of 10,592 units, including 3,849 units of the G80, 2,928 units of the GV80, and 3,106 units of the GV70.


During the same period, Hyundai sold 302,722 units overseas, a 2.6% decrease compared to the same month last year.


A Hyundai official stated, "We will strengthen sales and production systems tailored to local demand and policies to respond flexibly to market changes by region. We plan to secure leadership in electrification through competitive new car launches and expansion of the electric vehicle lineup, and to pursue profitability-focused business operations."
