Korea Productivity Center Appoints Shin Sung-chul, Former KAIST President, as Advisor

On the morning of the 1st, the Korea Productivity Center announced at its office in Jongno-gu, Seoul, that it had appointed Shin Sung-chul, former president of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), as an advisor.

This appointment is a strategic measure by the Korea Productivity Center to efficiently and systematically manage productivity improvement efforts that contribute to the national economy. Advisor Shin Sung-chul is a world-renowned authority in physics and has served as president of KAIST and Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST). Based on his expertise and extensive experience in the science and technology sector, Advisor Shin will play a key role in consulting and education aimed at improving productivity for companies and the nation, as well as in promoting productivity enhancement initiatives.


The Korea Productivity Center is a non-profit special corporation established under Article 32 of the Industrial Development Act to efficiently and systematically promote productivity improvement in the industrial sector. Founded in 1957, it is celebrating its 68th anniversary this year. It supports services such as consulting, education, and research surveys to help enhance the competitiveness of companies and industries.
