Visits to Lab2Bottle, Xenics, and PowerAutoRobotics
Cheonan City in Chungnam organized a tour of the innovation manufacturing facilities of C-STAR companies to create collaboration opportunities among promising startups, startup support organizations, and private investors (ACs and VCs).
C-STAR is a program that combines the "C" of Cheonan and "STAR" of startup, providing customized support to startups with high technological capabilities and growth potential.
This tour focused on Lab2Bottle, Xenics, and PowerAutoRobotics, all equipped with innovative manufacturing facilities. The event was attended by Lee Jongwon, Vice President of Hoseo University, as well as representatives from Cheonan Science and Industry Promotion Agency, C-STAR companies, and private investors.
The first stop was Lab2Bottle, a brewing startup that maximizes fermentation and aging processes. The company won a bronze medal at the 2024 UK IWSC, one of the world’s top three liquor competitions. Its flagship product is "Pearfect," a distilled spirit made from Seonghwan pears, a local specialty.
The second stop was Xenics, which develops AI and autonomous driving-based logistics automation robots and is currently collaborating with several major corporations. In October last year, Xenics became the first C-STAR company to be listed on the stock exchange.
The final stop was PowerAutoRobotics, a startup that manufactures AI-based parts assembly robots tailored to customer needs.
After the tour, companies, support organizations, and investors gathered to continue technological cooperation and information exchange.
Mayor Park Sangdon stated, "Seeing the key players in the startup ecosystem and future unicorn companies firsthand makes me even more optimistic about their future growth," adding, "We will continue to pursue various policies, including providing opportunities for technological cooperation for startups."
