Jeollanam-do participated in the '2025 Osaka K-Premium Consumer Goods Exhibition' held in Osaka, Japan, securing export contracts worth a total of $200,000 and conducting export consultations amounting to $6.7 million, signaling a positive outlook for entry into the Japanese market.

Jeollanam-do, together with the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea International Trade Association, supported the participation of 10 promising local small and medium-sized enterprises.

This exhibition was specially held in Osaka, instead of the usual Tokyo location, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan and the upcoming '2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo.' Jeollanam-do used this opportunity to lay the groundwork for entry into the Japanese market.

Local companies showcased products such as cosmetics, food, organic fertilizers, and seafood tailored to Japanese consumer preferences, attracting significant interest from local buyers. In particular, Haeyeoreum Co., Ltd., which presented premium salt with various flavors made from sun-dried salt from Dochodo, Shinan, achieved the most notable result by signing an on-site export contract worth $200,000 with Japanese buyers.

In addition, the 10 participating companies, including SH Lab Co., Ltd. (organic cosmetics), Misillan Co., Ltd. (Misugaru and mixed grains), Araeum Co., Ltd. (crispy squid snacks), Cookia Co., Ltd. (tofu snacks), Malggo Balgggo Ttatteuthan Cooperative (yuja tea), Cheongsanbada Fishery Cooperative Corporation (abalone), Teazen (pumpkin tea and wine tea), Bonggang Eco-Friendly Farming Cooperative (organic fertilizer), and Dongseo Industry Co., Ltd. (colored wood chips), held consultations with 94 Japanese buyers, achieving export consultations totaling $6.7 million.

Jeollanam-do plans to continue supporting customized overseas expansion projects for local companies, focusing on promising global export markets, and will continue efforts to globalize consumer goods produced in Jeollanam-do.
