Kim Jong-ho, Chairman of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Kibo), on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of its founding, urged, "Let us unite our efforts to grow one step further in response to the demands of the nation, the people, and the global market for the expanded role of Kibo."
At the anniversary ceremony held on the 1st, Chairman Kim said, "I thank the employees who have joined in breaking the existing framework with new challenges such as K-TOP, the nation's first AI-based technology evaluation open platform, and the private cooperation M&A platform exclusively for SMEs." He then emphasized the role of policy financial institutions amid growing domestic and international uncertainties and economic crisis concerns, urging Kibo to leap forward as an innovation growth platform for small and medium-sized venture businesses through ▲ strengthening service competitiveness through continuous innovation ▲ establishing a demand-oriented innovative financial support system ▲ creating a clean and fair financial environment.
Since its establishment on April 1, 1989, Kibo has established itself as a specialized technology finance institution for small and medium-sized venture businesses, marking its 36th anniversary this year. At this anniversary ceremony, an internal contest themed "Kibo 36 Years Later" was held to envision the institution's future vision, along with various social contribution programs such as exhibitions of young artists' works, donation campaigns, and blood donation certificate presentations.
In particular, there was a moment to deliver 30 million KRW in donations voluntarily collected by employees to the Busan branch of the Korean Red Cross for the recovery of damage caused by the recent large-scale wildfires. The donation will be used for the prompt restoration of the affected areas and support for disaster victims. Additionally, Kibo will provide special disaster SME guarantees to small and medium-sized enterprises in the wildfire-affected areas declared as special disaster zones, offering financial support to quickly secure funds necessary for damage recovery.
