First held in 2023, ‘Cheongchundaero’ is a comprehensive cultural festival consisting of various performances and experience programs such as a youth song contest and talk shows, where local youth and residents enjoy together.
The district has operated a festival planning team every year to create a festival led directly by young people. This year, it aims to form a planning team composed of youth of various ages across all fields and is conducting its first open recruitment.
The recruitment target is youth aged 19 to 39 interested in cultural and artistic planning. The planning team will be active for about six months, starting with the inauguration ceremony in May and ending with the festival evaluation meeting and closing ceremony in October. They will be responsible for all practical aspects such as selecting the festival theme, planning programs, and managing operations, playing a key role as the actual organizers of the festival. During the activity period, various benefits will be provided, including ▲appointment letters and activity certificates ▲meeting attendance allowances ▲commendations from the district mayor for outstanding participants. For more details, please check the announcement on the Gwangjin-gu Office website or contact the Culture and Arts Division.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We are recruiting a festival planning team to create ‘Cheongchundaero,’ Gwangjin-gu’s representative festival. We ask for the interest and participation of young people who want to gain unforgettable experiences by directly participating from planning to operation.” He added, “We hope that this year’s ‘Cheongchundaero’ will bring youthful energy to the region and become a festival where all residents can come together.”
