Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, participated in the "Spring Cleaning Day" event at Hongik University's "Red Road R4, R5" from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on March 31.
Mapo District organized this event to foster a voluntary cleaning atmosphere among residents and to encourage thorough cleaning of all public and private (road) facilities.
About 250 people, including Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, district office staff, district council members, professional organizations, and residents, took part in cleaning the "Red Road R4, R5" club street and washing the facilities.
Mayor Park Gang-su said, "Red Road is a landmark visited by 52% of foreign tourists coming to Seoul and a street where youth and culture thrive. Mapo District has designated March as a special cleaning period and will clean every alley to ensure that residents and tourists can enjoy a pleasant and clean Mapo."
