National Pukyong University (President Bae Sanghoon), one of the most famous cherry blossom spots in Busan, held its 'Pink Campus' event over two days on March 31 and April 1 this year.
National Pukyong University is well-known on social networks as a "university with beautiful cherry blossoms" and a "cherry blossom hotspot in Busan" thanks to the stunning scenery created every year by the cherry trees lining the campus roads.
As the cherry blossoms on campus attract not only students but also local residents, National Pukyong University has been officially hosting the 'Pink Campus' cherry blossom festival since 2014, marking its 12th year this year.
During this year's festival, the Student Council (President Hwang Donghyun) led various programs such as department and office booths, club performances, and video screenings on the Lawn Square and Baekgyeong Square. Photo zones and picnic zones were also set up so visitors could enjoy the romantic campus atmosphere.
Various events were also prepared. Visitors who collected stamps from multiple booths were entered into a prize draw, and on April 1, April Fool's Day, students who came to campus in school uniforms and posted their outfits on social networks received prizes, among other activities.
National Pukyong University held the festival in a calm atmosphere in light of recent wildfires and strengthened safety measures by organizing safety guardians consisting of students and staff.
