According to a poll conducted by U.S. CBS News on the 27th and 28th among 2,609 American adults and released on the 30th (local time), 52% of Americans said they do not support President Trump's economic policies (margin of error ±2.3 percentage points). Those who supported Trump's economic policies accounted for only 48%.

Responses indicating a lack of support for President Trump's handling of inflation reached 56%, while those supporting it were 44%.

Americans felt that President Trump is excessively focused on tariffs but does not pay enough attention to inflation.

Fifty-five percent of respondents said President Trump is focusing "too much" on tariff issues. Only 5% said he is "not enough" focused on tariffs.

Sixty-four percent responded that President Trump is not paying enough attention to inflation.

Regarding the price impact of new tariffs, 72% predicted a short-term increase, and 47% expected a long-term increase. Predictions that tariffs would cause short-term price decreases were 5%, and long-term decreases were 5% and 29%, respectively.

However, 38% of respondents attributed the current inflation responsibility to former President Joe Biden, which was higher than the 34% who blamed President Trump. Nineteen percent said both were responsible.

On the other hand, a majority of respondents gave favorable evaluations of President Trump's immigration policies.

Support for immigration policies was relatively high at 53%, while 47% did not support them. Support for deporting illegal immigrants reached 58%.

President Trump's overall approval rating for national governance was 50%. Although this was a 1 percentage point drop from last month's survey, CBS reported that it is higher than the approval ratings from all polls conducted during his first term in office.
