According to fire authorities on the 30th, two fire trucks remain in Hahoe Village for final safety inspections. The remaining fire trucks and equipment have withdrawn and headed to areas such as Gyeongnam where wildfires are ongoing.

About 100 residents who had been repeatedly evacuating and returning home depending on the wildfire situation are also gradually returning to their homes.

The Hahoe Village Preservation Society plans to reopen the village starting from the 31st. A village official said, "It is heartbreaking to think of the unfortunate situation of evacuees in nearby areas, but considering various circumstances, we have decided to quickly normalize village operations."

Earlier, the wildfire that broke out on the 22nd in Uiseong, Gyeongbuk, spread to the northern region of Gyeongbuk, causing massive damage and was extinguished on the 28th.

At one point, news that the fire had advanced to within 2 km in a straight line from Byeongsan Seowon near Hahoe Village put the entire village on high alert.
