Kyobo Life Insurance announced on the 28th that it has launched a historical and cultural plogging volunteer activity called 'Kkotboda Plogging' for its employees.
Kkotboda Plogging involves walking along local historical and cultural exploration trails once a month, listening to explanations from cultural guides while simultaneously picking up trash. Since its inception in 2023, the program has received enthusiastic participation from over 1,000 employees annually.

Participants take a trash picker in one hand and a garbage bag in the other as they engage in plogging. They spend meaningful time learning about local heritage through the cultural guide's explanations and collecting items such as cans and cigarette butts to help create cleaner streets.
Starting with 27 courses in Seoul and six metropolitan cities in 2023, 'Kkotboda Plogging' expanded to 36 courses last year and is operated across a total of 43 courses this year.
Kkotboda Plogging is also linked to community environmental improvement projects. Since last year, Kyobo Life Insurance has been collaborating with Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, to promote the 'Kyobo Life Insurance-Metasequoia Forest Trail' project, which is planned to be gradually expanded until 2028. For every employee participating in plogging, a Metasequoia tree is planted along the Jungnangcheon Stream in Seoul. Approximately 100 trees have been planted so far.
Additionally, a system is in place to attach tree plaques engraved with the team name to teams that participate three or more times.
