51 Projects Across 4 Youth Policy Sectors
Practical Support Including Job Creation
Yeonggwang County held a Youth Policy Committee meeting on the 26th and finalized 51 projects in four areas, including job creation for youth. Provided by Yeonggwang County
Yeonggwang County in Jeollanam-do has finalized and will implement the '2025 Yeonggwang County Youth Policy Implementation Plan'.
With the vision of "Yeonggwang, an attractive place for youth to live," the county plans to invest 14.4 billion KRW in 51 projects across four sectors: ▲Participation and Communication ▲Job Creation ▲Youth Culture ▲Youth Welfare.
In the Participation and Communication sector, nine projects will be promoted, including the operation of the Youth Honorary Deputy Governor System, a youth-exclusive budget system, and youth organization communication meetings, to encourage social participation and reflect the voices of young people in county administration.
For Job Creation, 6.9 billion KRW will be allocated to 20 projects such as youth pop-up stores, youth challenge support projects, Yeonggwang-style youth job incentive support, and smart farm operations for startup farmers.
In the Youth Culture sector, 900 million KRW will be allocated to seven projects, including the operation of small art galleries in key locations, youth flea markets, Yeonggwang Youth Day events, and the operation of a cultural art village, to expand cultural experiences for young people.
In the Youth Welfare sector, 4.9 billion KRW will be allocated to 15 projects, such as the creation of Neulpum Village, support for certification exam fees, marriage incentives in Yeonggwang County, and college entrance congratulatory funds, to help youth become independent and create a stable environment for them to settle in the region.
Song Gwangmin, Deputy Governor of Yeonggwang, said, "It is important to listen directly to the voices of young people and to implement effective policies," adding, "We will actively reflect the opinions gathered at this meeting and do our best to make Yeonggwang County a great place for youth to live."
