Anseongjae Restaurant Suffers Reservation Fraud by KT Employee Impersonator... Police Report Filed Yonhap News

According to Mosu Seoul and Yongsan Police Station on the 27th, Mosu Seoul filed a complaint with the police on the 21st, requesting punishment for the impersonator of the KT employee.

The impersonator called the restaurant and said, "There is a fire nearby, and the communication network is expected to be cut off," instructing them to switch the reservation main phone number to a temporary number.

He sent a photo of a business card to reassure the employee who answered the call, but the temporary number was actually managed by the impersonator. Afterwards, the impersonator answered calls from customers who called the restaurant and requested prepayment, receiving meal payments into a specific account.

Mosu Seoul has identified that more than six groups of customers were affected.

Mosu Seoul also posted a notice on the reservation platform 'Catch Table,' warning, "Recently, a crime has occurred where someone impersonated KT and forwarded calls to Mosu's phone number, then demanded meal payments," urging caution.

Mosu Seoul operates only an evening course, with a price of 420,000 KRW per person.
