Fundraising Campaign Banner for Disaster Relief Operated Within the App
Baedal Minjok has joined efforts to aid in the recovery from wildfires and support disaster victims in the Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam regions.
Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, announced on the 27th that they donated 300 million KRW to Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, a specialized disaster relief fundraising organization, to help residents severely affected by the wildfires.
Hope Bridge plans to use the donation for recovery efforts and providing relief supplies and housing support in the wildfire-affected areas such as Uiseong in Gyeongbuk and Sancheong in Gyeongnam.
Baemin, together with Hope Bridge, will also run a fundraising campaign through the Baemin app to support wildfire recovery and disaster victims. To encourage many users to participate, a full-page banner linking to the Hope Bridge donation page will be displayed within the Baemin app starting today.
Kim Beom-seok, CEO of Woowa Brothers, said, “We hope that residents in the affected areas, devastated by unprecedented wildfires, can return to their daily lives as soon as possible,” adding, “Woowa Brothers will fulfill its social responsibility by helping vulnerable groups and neighbors affected by disasters.”
