‘My Life Cut Like a Flower’ Photo Event at the Circular Stage of Gyeonggi Peace Plaza Book Cafe
Special Performance by Uijeongbu City Choir
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 27th that it will hold the ‘Joyful~ Spring!’ Culture Day event at the Gyeonggi Peace Plaza Book Cafe from the 29th to the 31st. This event is designed to allow residents to experience the special atmosphere of spring along with books. In particular, a ‘My Life Cut Like a Flower’ photo event and a performance of the ‘Spring Noon Concert’ by the Uijeongbu City Choir are prepared, offering a variety of cultural programs.
The Gyeonggi Peace Plaza Book Cafe operates not just as a simple reading-focused library but as a local complex cultural space where visitors can enjoy performances, board games, comics, DVDs, and a cafe. Anyone can freely visit and experience diverse cultural content. Last year, over 100,000 residents visited the book cafe, establishing it as a representative open cultural space in the region.
During the Culture Day event from the 29th to the 31st, the ‘My Life Cut Like a Flower’ photo event will take place on the circular stage of the book cafe. Visitors can take photos against a splendid flower photo wall and receive printed photos on the spot. Additionally, at noon on the 31st, the Uijeongbu City Choir will hold the ‘Spring Noon Concert,’ offering residents a beautiful harmony.
At the noon concert, members of the Uijeongbu City Choir?Lim Jeong-hyeok, Kim Chang-min, Lee Yong-il, and Joo Seong-shin?will perform a variety of songs including ‘Now, This Moment,’ ‘First Love,’ ‘Beautiful Country,’ ‘Once,’ and ‘O Sole Mio.’ On a warm spring day, the sweet choral performance is expected to deliver an unforgettable impression to the residents.
Anyone can freely participate in this event without prior registration. The photo event will operate throughout the event period, and the choir performance is free and open to all.
Gyeonggi Province hopes that through this event, the Gyeonggi Peace Plaza Book Cafe will become an even more vibrant cultural space. They plan to continue expanding cultural enjoyment opportunities for residents and operate various cultural programs continuously.
