The Ministry of Justice announced on the 26th that it is proceeding with the transfer process for about 800 inmates at Andong Prison due to the spread of the wildfire.
According to the Ministry of Justice, patients requiring special care and female inmates are being prioritized for transfer to correctional facilities under the Daegu Regional Correctional Headquarters.
The Ministry of Justice attempted to transfer inmates from Andong Prison on the 25th but did not proceed as the wind direction changed.
