Essential Food and Daily Necessities at the Lowest Prices
From the 28th to the 30th of Next Month, a Month-Long Project
Emart announced on the 27th that it will hold the fourth "Price Shock Declaration" of the year, planning essential food items and daily necessities at the lowest price level from the 28th to the 30th of next month.
The representative items of the April Price Shock Declaration are samgyeopsal (pork belly), moksim (pork neck), zucchini, traditional gim (seaweed), and yogurt. First, various types of samgyeopsal and moksim, including regular samgyeopsal, Geumhandon (spotted pig), and Uriheukdon (black pig), will be offered at 1,980 KRW per 100g, Geumhandon at 2,280 KRW per 100g, and Uriheukdon at 2,380 KRW per 100g.
Emart used an "integrated purchasing" strategy to lower the prices of samgyeopsal and moksim as much as possible. This method implements economies of scale by purchasing quantities from Emart, Traders, and Everyday all at once.
Essential ingredients like zucchini will also be offered at the lowest price of 1,480 KRW each. Emart secured about 2.5 million zucchinis from various production areas such as Jinju and Cheongju for the Price Shock Declaration.
More than 50 daily necessities will also be sold at discounted prices. These include Paldo Bibim Men (130g*4 packs, 2,980 KRW), Baeksul Grape Seed Oil (900ml, 7,480 KRW), Nongshim Baeksansu (label-free 2L*6 bottles, 5,980 KRW), Maxim Supreme Gold Coffee Mix (40 sticks, 9,480 KRW), Dongwon Tong Grill Vienna Sausages (300g*2 packs, 8,480 KRW), and CJ Bibigo Kimchi Fried Rice (80g*5 packs, 7,480 KRW).
Hwang Woon-gi, Head of Emart’s Product Division, said, "The Price Shock Declaration, now in its fourth round this year, is receiving great love from customers along with evaluations that it significantly reduces the burden of grocery prices." He added, "We will continue to plan various products to provide benefits that customers can truly feel."
