Silla University Produces Large Number of Successful Candidates in This Year's Secondary School Teacher Certification Exam

Silla University (President Heo Namsik) produced 42 successful candidates in the 2025 Teacher Appointment Candidate Selection Competitive Examination.


Silla University, the only private university in the Busan region with a College of Education, produced a total of 42 teachers in this year's secondary teacher appointment examination: 9 in Korean, 4 in mathematics, 7 in history, 14 in information and computer, 1 in English, 1 in kindergarten, 2 in health, 1 in physical education, 1 in nutrition, 1 in professional counseling, and 1 in library science.


Through not only its College of Education but also teacher training courses and the Graduate School of Education, Silla University enables about 230 students each year to obtain a Level 2 Regular Teacher Certificate and qualify to take the teacher appointment examination.


The College of Education at Silla University operates a systematic curriculum and a variety of customized educational support programs to strengthen students' academic abilities in their majors, including special lectures in education, practical mock exams, major competency enhancement programs, and major study groups. In addition, it provides a comfortable learning environment for students by operating a study cafe and Jeongjingwan (preparation room for appointment exams).

Furthermore, the university has conducted various programs to help students gain a high level of practical understanding in the field of education, such as the AI/SW Class Demonstration Competition, the 30-year tradition of 'Maemi' rural and fishing village education volunteer work, and overseas education volunteer activities in countries like Japan and New Zealand.


In particular, the 'School Field Practice Semester System', the only one of its kind in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, provided prospective teachers with the opportunity to participate in field practice for an entire semester, allowing for a deeper understanding of the field.


One student who passed the recent teacher appointment examination said, "The systematic curriculum provided by the school was a great help while preparing for this challenging exam," and added, "Especially, being able to experience various situations that may occur in the field in advance through various programs helped me gain confidence as a real teacher."


Lee Kyungsun, Dean of the College of Education at Silla University, expressed gratitude and congratulations to the successful candidates for their outstanding achievements made possible by the school's full support, and stated, "We will spare no effort to support all future prospective teachers so they can play a shining role in the field of education."
