Committee Formed to Designate and Foster Specialty Products
12 Items Including Cheonggyeongchae and Baekok Rice Selected
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is strengthening management to expand sales of local specialty products.
On the 25th, Yongin City held the '1st Specialty Product Designation Deliberation Committee' regular meeting at the city hall video conference room and announced on the 26th that appointment letters were delivered to seven committee members.

The committee was formed to protect and foster agricultural specialty products produced locally following the enactment of the 'Yongin City Specialty Product Designation and Support Ordinance' in December last year, and will begin full-scale activities starting this year.
The appointed deliberation committee members will perform duties such as designating and canceling specialty products, discussing promotion and development plans, and promoting fostering projects for two years until March 2027.
Lee Sang-il, Mayor of Yongin City, said, "We expect the committee to further develop Yongin City's excellent agricultural products and processed foods, which are gaining popularity domestically and internationally," adding, "The city will also do its best to support them."
At the meeting, the committee designated 12 products as city specialty products, including ▲Cheonggyeongchae (bok choy) ▲Baekok Rice ▲Yeorihyang Rice ▲Cheonggyeongchae Kimchi ▲Ssukguri Danja (mugwort rice cake) ▲Bbongnip Tea (mulberry leaf tea) ▲Blueberry Liquid Tea ▲Rice Snacks ▲Songhwa Mushroom Tea ▲Seongsan Pork (pork) ▲Yujeongran (organic eggs) ▲Honey, among others.
