Daejeon Fire Headquarters announced that it has been selected as the first fire department in the country to participate in the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art's "Nanum Misul Eunhaeng" (Sharing Art Bank) project for 2025.

Accordingly, from the 26th until March 23, 2026, 50 works from the Art Bank collection of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art?including paintings, photographs, and sculptures?will be exhibited at the Dongbu Fire Station and Seobu Fire Station buildings.

The "Nanum Misul Eunhaeng" is a social contribution program operated by the Art Bank of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art since 2019. It provides free loans of art pieces to culturally underserved regions and institutions, supporting the entire process from expert recommendations to installation.

Daejeon Fire Headquarters expects that exhibiting high-quality artworks within the fire stations will provide emotional stability to firefighters and offer visitors the opportunity to experience culture and the arts.

Kang Daehoon, Chief of Daejeon Fire Headquarters, said, "Appreciating artworks can provide psychological comfort and have a positive effect on the recovery of firefighters experiencing post-traumatic stress. We will continue to actively introduce healing programs through culture and the arts to strengthen the psychological resilience of our firefighters."
