Chonnam National University Yeosu Campus to Promote Dormitory Environment Improvement Project

Chonnam National University Yeosu Campus announced on the 26th that it has carried out a large-scale environmental improvement project to enhance the living convenience of dormitory residents.

At the Yeosu Campus, a total of 968 students reside in three dormitory buildings: Pureunhaksa, Yeollinhaksa, and Miraehaksa. In particular, Pureunhaksa (female) and Yeollinhaksa (male), located in Dundeok-dong, have faced continuous requests from residents for facility upgrades as more than 20 years have passed since their completion.

In response, Yeosu Campus invested a total of 365 million won to remodel the first-floor communal restrooms (male and female) in Pureunhaksa and Yeollinhaksa, and established a new communal shower room in Pureunhaksa, which had been a frequent request from students, thus improving living convenience. A communal shower room in Yeollinhaksa is also planned to be established within this year.

Kim Yongmin, Vice President of Yeosu Campus, stated, "Dormitories are important spaces where students balance academics and daily life, so it is crucial to create a more comfortable and safe environment. We will continue to actively reflect students' opinions to consistently improve residential conditions and do our best to provide a better living environment."
