The event, held in a conference room at Daejeon Station, was attended by 12 companies including group affiliates such as Intergis and Dongkuk System, as well as major suppliers from key business sites including Incheon, Pohang, and Dangjin. At the event, they shared ▲ the 2025 plan for promoting the Win-Win Cooperation Safety and Health Council ▲ current status and case analysis of laws related to serious accidents ▲ training to strengthen capabilities for serious accident prevention ▲ consulting and support plans for establishing safety and health systems for suppliers.
Dongkuk Steel plans to organize the council with 'major high-risk suppliers' and provide guidelines for compliance with the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, the Industrial Safety and Health Act, and the establishment of safety and health systems for industrial accident prevention. Furthermore, it plans to hold regular quarterly meetings and gradually expand the scope to raise the overall safety and health management standards of all suppliers.
Gwak Jinsu, Head of Planning at Dongkuk Steel, said, "I believe that maintaining a high level without exception in the field of safety and health among Dongkuk Steel, affiliates, and suppliers is what advances the value of Dongkuk Steel’s safety and health vision of being a company that protects the safety and health of all workers."
