CJ CheilJedang and SPC Group provide emergency relief supplies to wildfire victims
Nongshim delivers 3,000 emergency food packs to affected areas

Food companies such as CJ CheilJedang and SPC Group have recently stepped up to provide emergency relief supplies to residents of Sancheong County in Gyeongnam and Uiseong County in Gyeongbuk, who were affected by the recent wildfires.

According to the industry on the 25th, CJ CheilJedang provided emergency relief supplies to areas damaged by the recent large-scale wildfires in Sancheong, Gyeongnam, and Uiseong, Gyeongbuk. The relief supplies consisted of a total of about 10,000 products, including Hetbahn, Bibigo soup meal home meal replacements (HMR), and snacks such as roasted chestnuts. These supplies will be delivered to disaster victims, firefighters, and volunteers involved in recovery efforts through the National Disaster Relief Association. CJ CheilJedang plans to actively monitor the wildfire damage situation and consider additional support measures.


SPC Group delivered 5,000 loaves of bread and 2,000 bottles of water to wildfire suppression sites through the Korean Red Cross. The relief supplies will be provided to firefighters and volunteers deployed on site, as well as disaster victims staying in temporary shelters.

Nongshim urgently supported 3,000 emergency food packs. The emergency food packs consist of ramen and Baeksansu mineral water and will be delivered to disaster victims staying in shelters and firefighters participating in wildfire suppression and recovery operations.


Seoul Milk Cooperative delivered a total of 23,400 sterilized milk (200ml) products, including 14,400 to the wildfire disaster headquarters in Uiseong, Gyeongbuk, and 9,000 to the disaster victim shelters in Sancheong, Gyeongnam, to help expedite recovery efforts for residents affected by the large wildfires. These relief supplies will be distributed to disaster victims staying in temporary shelters and recovery personnel.


Kyochon F&B, operator of Kyochon Chicken, donated a total of 100 million KRW in chicken vouchers and support funds through the Korean Red Cross. The support funds provided by Kyochon will be used for emergency relief and recovery in wildfire-affected areas, as well as for providing daily necessities to disaster victims. Additionally, chicken was provided to firefighters, soldiers, police officers, and civilian volunteers who are working hard on recovery efforts.


Kwon Won-gang, chairman of Kyochon Group, stated, "We will make various efforts to comfort residents affected by the fire and contribute to the community’s recovery so that they can quickly return to their daily lives."
