Deliberation and Resolution of Key Issues Related to Worker Safety

The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 25th that it held the '1st Industrial Safety and Health Committee Meeting of 2025' at its headquarters in Jinju, Gyeongnam.


During the meeting, discussions were held on this year's plans for ▲health checkups for Small and Medium Business Corporation employees ▲the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) promotion plan ▲indoor air quality measurement plan, among others.

The Industrial Safety and Health Committee is an organization that deliberates and resolves important matters related to workers' safety and health in accordance with the Industrial Safety and Health Act, and it is organized quarterly. The Small and Medium Business Corporation abolished the existing Safety Management Committee and established the Industrial Safety and Health Committee, strictly managing safety while complying with the obligation to listen to workers' opinions under the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.


The committee consists of five worker representatives, including Park Noyoung, head of the Small and Medium Business Corporation labor union branch, and five employer representatives, including Lee Byungcheol, vice president of the Small and Medium Business Corporation. The chairman is Kang Seokjin, director of the Small and Medium Business Corporation.


Branch Chief Park said, "We will actively cooperate to convey the voices from the field regarding safety management and to achieve the Small and Medium Business Corporation's goal of 'ZERO safety accidents' and strengthen worker safety."


Director Kang emphasized, "We will continuously improve the institution's safety management level by actively reflecting workers' opinions," adding, "We will do our best to maintain a 'six-year consecutive accident-free workplace' through the advancement of safety management via the Industrial Safety and Health Committee."
