Seoul-style Kids Cafe "Haha Hoho Playground" Opens Second Branch at Songpa Women's Culture Center on March 19
Custom-designed for infants and toddlers aged 0 to 3
Features caterpillar dome, exploratory play, stacking play, and more
Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) opened the Seoul-style kids cafe "Haha Hoho Playground Songpa-gu Branch 2" at the Songpa Women's Culture Center on the 19th.
"Haha Hoho Playground" is a Seoul-style kids cafe designed for children to play safely and enjoyably without worries about seasons, weather, or fine dust. In May last year, the first branch of Haha Hoho Playground Songpa-gu was opened in Jamsil Neighborhood Park for children aged 4 to 9.
The newly opened second branch on March 19 was created as a kids cafe exclusively for infants and toddlers aged 0 to 3, considering their developmental characteristics. It is located on the first floor of the Songpa Women's Culture Center, with a dedicated area of 100.14m² equipped with play facilities tailored for infants.
In particular, it is designed to provide experiences suitable for infants and toddlers aged 0 to 3, including caterpillar play, exploratory play, stacking play, expressive play, and pretend play areas. Infant-specific educational tools support healthy growth according to physical development during infancy.
Additionally, care staff and safety management personnel will be stationed at all times to guide users and ensure the safety of children while playing.
Going forward, the district plans to offer infant play coaching programs considering the diversified demand for play and care. A special program will be operated twice a month, where infant experts observe infants' play and interactions with parents and provide play coaching and consulting.
The kids cafe is available to infants and toddlers aged 0 to 3 and their guardians residing in Seoul. The fee is 2,000 KRW for children and 1,000 KRW for guardians.
Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with up to 10 children allowed per session. Reservations and other inquiries can be checked on the Our Neighborhood Care Portal.
Furthermore, the district plans to expand "Haha Hoho Playground" to a total of six locations within this year. Two additional branches (Wirye-dong, Bangi 2-dong) will open in April, and openings in Ogeum-dong and Jangji-dong are scheduled for the second half of the year.
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, "I hope the newly opened 'Haha Hoho Playground' becomes a safe play space where infants and toddlers can freely play and develop creativity. We will continue to expand Seoul-style kids cafes near residential areas and reduce parenting burdens through various care supports to make Songpa a great place to raise children."
