Strong Winds Accompany Dry Weather
Temperature Differences Over 15 Degrees in Chungcheong and Southern Regions
Rain Forecast Starting from Jeju on the 26th
On Tuesday the 25th, the whole country will be mostly cloudy with strong winds blowing across most regions. Fine dust levels nationwide will be at a 'bad' level.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 24th, the atmosphere will remain very dry mainly in the eastern regions, and there will be a large temperature difference between day and night in inland areas for the time being.
With dry weather warnings issued for the eastern coast and southern mountains of Gangwon, Yeongdong, Jecheon, and Danyang in Chungbuk, eastern Jeolla, and Yeongnam excluding Busan and the southern coast, as well as Jeju, the atmosphere is very dry and strong winds continue, so special caution is required against fires.
From tomorrow afternoon, there is a possibility that strong wind warnings will be issued for the eastern coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon and the eastern coast and northeastern mountains of Gyeongbuk. Winds will be strong in other regions as well. Currently, a national crisis alert for forest fires at the 'severe' or 'caution' level is in effect nationwide.
Temperatures are forecasted to be 3 to 11 degrees Celsius higher than the average until the 26th. Most areas are expected to see daytime temperatures rise above 20 degrees Celsius tomorrow. Inland Gyeongbuk will see daytime temperatures rise above 25 degrees Celsius.
Tomorrow morning's low temperatures are expected to be between 5 and 13 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs between 15 and 26 degrees Celsius. The temperature difference between day and night will be large, exceeding 15 degrees Celsius.
Low and high temperatures in major cities are forecasted as follows: Seoul 8°C and 20°C, Incheon 6°C and 15°C, Daejeon 10°C and 24°C, Gwangju and Ulsan 9°C and 24°C, Daegu 10°C and 25°C, Busan 11°C and 19°C.
Fine dust levels will be at a 'bad' level nationwide. Fine dust originating from abroad and generated domestically is not dispersing, and with additional domestic fine dust and further inflow of foreign fine dust at night, air quality will remain poor throughout the 25th.
Yellow dust originating from the Inner Mongolian Plateau and the Gobi Desert will pass through Korea, causing PM10 fine dust concentrations to soar to a 'very bad' level in some areas during the daytime on the 25th.
Until the morning of the 25th, dense fog with visibility below 200 meters will form mainly along the west coast. The West Sea will also be covered with dense fog.
Rain will begin late afternoon on the 26th starting from Jeju, spreading to Busan and the southern coast on the same day, and then expanding nationwide. Expected precipitation on the 26th is 5 to 10 mm in Jeju, less than 5 mm in Busan and the southern coast, among others.
