Planned to Be Utilized
in Establishing Corporate Support Policies
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 24th that it will conduct a status survey of 1,352 registered factories in the region until December.
The status survey is conducted once a year to enhance the reliability of the factory registration ledger and systematically manage the registered factories.
The survey method will be conducted through written surveys and on-site visits. For the written survey, a notice will be sent to the 1,352 registered factories to submit responses in writing, and on-site visits will be conducted if additional investigation is needed based on the written survey results.
After the status survey, administrative procedures such as deregistration will be carried out for factories that are no longer operating due to closure or destruction of manufacturing facilities, and any changes found during the survey will be reflected in the Factory Establishment Online Support System (FactoryOn) to update factory-related data.
This year, major violations of the Building Act within factories (such as installation of mezzanines, extensions, and construction of unreported temporary structures) will be notified to prevent disadvantages to business operators, and in cooperation with the Goyang Fire Station, fire safety rules for fire prevention in factories will also be provided.
Last year, Goyang Special City revoked the registration of 54 factories that were not actually operating due to closure or destruction of manufacturing facilities through the status survey.
An official from Goyang Special City stated, "Based on the results of the status survey, we plan to regularly update the factory registration ledger and corporate information and utilize them in establishing corporate support policies."
