Recognized for Operating the "1 Company-1 Public Official Dedicated System" and Related Initiatives
Muju County in North Jeolla Province has been selected as an outstanding institution in the 2024 evaluation for creating a business-friendly North Jeolla.
According to the county on the 24th, the "Creating a Business-Friendly North Jeolla" initiative aims to establish optimal conditions and environments for business operations. North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Province evaluated the implementation of the 1 Company-1 Public Official Dedicated System, the number of on-site visits to resolve business difficulties, the purchase performance of SME products, and the number of cases where business regulations were resolved.
The county received high praise and a reward of 20 million KRW for implementing policies to strengthen and vitalize business competitiveness, such as operating the "1 Company-1 Public Official Dedicated System," regularly holding meetings and briefings for businesspeople, and organizing joint workshops for companies with related organizations such as the provincial government and the North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Province Economic and Trade Promotion Agency.
In particular, through the operation of the "1 Company-1 Public Official Dedicated System," the county resolved 20 business operation difficulties, including facility improvements for stable industrial water supply, and supported projects such as providing 400 million KRW in SME development funds for working capital loans to small and medium-sized enterprises.
Lim Chaeyoung, head of the Industrial Economy Division, said, "We are the only county with a population of less than 70,000 to be recognized for three consecutive years, receiving 'Encouragement' in 2022 and 'Excellence' in 2023," and added, "We will continue to do our best to support local businesses and resolve their difficulties, while actively engaging in on-site administration to make Muju a business-friendly place."
Meanwhile, the county plans to improve the working environment of SMEs to create quality jobs and establish a stable business environment, considering this as the key to overcoming the crisis of local extinction.
The county is supporting working capital loans and loan interest for businesses, and is also carrying out projects such as improving the environment for SMEs, promoting the North Jeolla-style Smart Manufacturing Innovation Project, and implementing special guarantee programs to support companies in areas with declining populations.
