50 Tenants to Move into Customized Jeonse Rental Housing in Busan
Preliminary Tenants for General Type Purchased Rental Housing in Saha-gu, Haeundae-gu, and Busanjin-gu
Busan Metropolitan City Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) announced on the 24th that it is recruiting tenants and preliminary tenants for Jeonse rental housing, as well as preliminary tenants for purchased rental housing (general type), to ensure housing stability for citizens.
The "Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Housing" program is a system implemented to support housing stability for low-income groups. If a selected tenant chooses a Jeonse house within the support limit, BMC signs a Jeonse contract with the owner of the house and then subleases it to the tenant.
The "Purchased Rental Housing (General Type)" refers to rental housing where BMC purchases existing houses such as single-family or multi-family homes and supplies them at an affordable price, about 30% of the market rate.
In this recruitment, BMC plans to newly supply 50 units of Jeonse rental housing and recruit 120 preliminary tenants for purchased rental housing (general type) in three districts with a short waiting list for preliminary tenants: Saha-gu (50 units), Haeundae-gu (50 units), and Busanjin-gu (20 units).
Eligibility for application is limited to members of non-homeowner households registered in Busan, including: ▲ recipients of livelihood or medical benefits ▲ single-parent families under protection ▲ households in urgent need of housing support ▲ persons with disabilities or elderly (benefit recipients, near-poverty class) with a monthly average income per household of 70% or less. Detailed information regarding the recruitment can be found in the respective announcements on the BMC website.
The application period is from April 1 to 7, and applicants can visit the administrative welfare center of their registered address on weekdays between 10:00 and 17:00 to apply. Tenant selection will be conducted by each district or county office according to the selection method for each type. The announcement of selected tenants and preliminary tenants for Jeonse rental housing and preliminary tenants for purchased rental housing is scheduled for the end of June.
