Speaker Attends Rally Opposing Yoon's Impeachment
Claims "Democratic Party Threatening Left-Leaning Polling Agencies"
Says "This Is About Defending Liberal Democracy, Not Ideology"
Jeon Han-gil, a Korean history instructor who continues to voice opposition to the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol, appeared at a rally in Gwangju.
On the 23rd, Jeon attended the "Patriotic Citizens' General Rally Against the President's Impeachment in Gwangju and Jeonnam" held at Antioch Church in Seo-gu, Gwangju, as a speaker alongside Yoon Sang-hyun, a member of the People Power Party. The rally, conducted in the form of a worship service, gathered about 500 citizens who voiced their opposition to President Yoon's impeachment.
On stage, Jeon stated, "The Democratic Party and its leader Lee Jae-myung, as their approval ratings drop, have been threatening left-wing polling agencies like Realmeter and Korea Gallup, telling them to 'do it properly.' I believe all polls are manipulated before being released, but the polls in Honam are not manipulated because the Democratic Party's support is always high there," he claimed.

He added, "The recent Gwangju rally was a historic event," and said, "Mayor Kang Ki-jung of Gwangju said, 'There is no place for far-right forces that distort the spirit of May 18,' but ultimately, if President Yoon's impeachment is dismissed and he returns to office, the country will be normalized." He continued, "Since I started in politics, I have become an enemy to my friends. They do not contact me. My closest friend calls me trash," he lamented. He then added, "They just don't understand yet. Once the impeachment crisis ends, they will realize 'this is the right path' and unity will be achieved."
Jeon also appealed, "Since entering politics, the editor has taken all my YouTube earnings, and I have never received a single penny. My family cannot be happy about this. They are fearful and opposed. My wife wants a divorce. I am losing too much," he said. In conclusion, he emphasized, "This fight is not about ideology but about defending liberal democracy," and stressed, "We must prevent President Yoon's impeachment and restore the national system through his return to office."
