Gwangju Dong-gu (District Chief Lim Taek) announced on the 24th that the Gwangju Chuseok Memories Chungjang Festival won the Best Overall Entertainment Program award at the "2025 Pinnacle Awards and Asia Festival City Conference" held at the Gyeongju HwaBaek Convention Center from the 19th to the 21st.
Dong-gu was selected as a World Festival City at the 2024 Pinnacle Awards and Asia Festival City Conference held in Pattaya, Thailand last year. This year, following the Best Parade Award, Dong-gu has secured the honor of winning the Pinnacle Awards for two consecutive years, further solidifying its status as a global festival.
The Gwangju Chuseok Memories Chungjang Festival offered a variety of programs, including: ▲ 1 Day-1 Big Event, providing unique memories every day ▲ Citizen-led programs such as the Youth Planning Group Jjini and Chunye Planning Group, with direct citizen participation ▲ Audience participation programs like Five District Daedongnori and Memories of Flour Play ▲ Large-scale street programs such as Arang Gogo Janggu Performance and Romance Fire ▲ The highlight of the festival, the Chungjang Fire Art Parade.
