On the 21st, Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that it held the 2025 Senior Job Launch Ceremony at the Gyeonggi Textile Comprehensive Support Center, hosted by the Hoicheon Senior Welfare Center in Yangju City (acting director Jeong Ji-eun).

The launch ceremony was attended by about 400 participants and officials involved in senior jobs and social activity support. The event began with a pre-performance by the Hoicheon Senior Welfare Center's Dream Ari (Samulnori). The first part included screening of participant activity videos, greetings and congratulatory speeches from guests, entrance of each project team with placards, and a pledge by representatives. In the second part, essential training necessary for senior job participants to perform their duties was also conducted.
Do Il, chairman of the Hoicheon Senior Welfare Center's operating committee, said, "I hope this launch ceremony will serve as an opportunity for seniors to have a more positive social perception and increase their pride," adding, "We will make every effort to manage education for the prevention of safety accidents."
Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun emphasized in his congratulatory speech, "The senior job project will greatly help seniors' later life by generating income and promoting social participation," and added, "We will continue to do our best to make Yangju a happy city for working seniors."
The Hoicheon Senior Welfare Center in Yangju provides jobs suitable for the abilities and aptitudes of seniors aged 65 (some 60 and older) residing in Yangju City, helping them participate in society and maintain a healthy later life. Currently, 400 seniors are actively working in six project teams.
