Recognized for Initiatives Including the Multipurpose Complex Center in the Hongsamhanbang Agro-Industrial Complex
Jinan County in North Jeolla Province has been selected as an outstanding local government in the '2024 Evaluation of Cities and Counties for Making North Jeolla a Business-Friendly Province.'
According to the county on the 24th, it received high marks in this evaluation and was selected as an outstanding institution among cities with a population under 70,000, thereby receiving a financial incentive of 20 million KRW.
This year's evaluation recognized Jinan County's unique initiatives, such as the implementation of the 'One Company-One Public Official' system and the establishment and operation of a rapid response team for business-related civil complaints, the production of an e-book promoting companies in the local agro-industrial complex, and the opening and operation of the multipurpose complex center in the Hongsamhanbang Agro-Industrial Complex.
Additionally, the selection of a national project worth approximately 12.8 billion KRW for the Yeonjang Agro-Industrial Complex (including the remodeling of closed factories and the creation of vibrant and beautiful streets) was seen as a positive factor, as it reflected public-private efforts to improve the environment of aging agro-industrial complexes and revitalize stagnant industrial zones.
The county plans to continue its multifaceted efforts this year to create a business-friendly city. In particular, it will focus on securing national funding for the installation of public wastewater treatment facilities in the Yeonjang and Hongsamhanbang Agro-Industrial Complexes to address the most significant challenge faced by local companies: wastewater treatment.
County Governor Jeon Chunseong stated, "Being selected as an outstanding institution for two consecutive years as a business-friendly city is an achievement made possible by the cooperation of local companies and the proactive efforts of our public officials. Through on-site administrative visits, we will continue to create a business-friendly city and actively respond to the risk of local extinction."
