Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 24th that it has formed a ‘ChatGPT Study Club’ at the City Hall Informatization Training Center and conducted the first training session to strengthen the digital administrative capabilities of each department.
This study club was established as part of the smart administration policy that the city is proactively promoting, aiming to enhance the efficiency of administrative work and improve the quality of citizen services by utilizing ChatGPT, a core AI technology.
The city is seeking practical ways to utilize AI in various fields, such as improving the quality of administrative document writing and generating policy ideas, by deepening learning on department-specific customized prompt writing techniques and AI utilization capabilities.
Nineteen practitioners from 12 departments, formed through the study club recruitment announcement, participated in this training. The training program consisted of ▲ introduction to basic concepts and principles of ChatGPT ▲ customized prompt writing methods for each administrative task ▲ advanced strategies for deriving high-quality responses ▲ analysis of various generative AI utilization cases.
In particular, the program was conducted as a practice-centered course focusing on frequently occurring administrative tasks such as preparing administrative documents and summarizing meeting minutes, which resulted in high satisfaction.
The city plans to operate this training not as a one-time program but as a sustainable learning process. Through regular monthly training and practice sessions, it aims to strengthen practical capabilities, discover excellent cases, and expand them to all city departments. Additionally, the learning outcomes will be compiled and distributed as the ‘Uijeongbu-style AI Administrative Utilization Manual.’
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “This ChatGPT Study Club is a strategic attempt to proactively respond to the changing flow of digital technology and realize citizen-centered administrative service innovation. We expect the participants to grow as leaders in their respective departments and play a pivotal role in leading Uijeongbu City to become a model city of digital innovation administration.”
