Buk-gu Gwangju to Support Small Businesses Entering Live Commerce

Support Project to Expand Online Sales Channels
"Expecting a Breakthrough for Local Merchants' Growth"

Buk-gu, Gwangju is recruiting participants for the "Live Commerce Support Project" to help local small business owners who are struggling due to the economic downturn and reduced consumer spending.


On the 24th, Buk-gu announced that it will officially launch the "Small Business Live Commerce Support Project" to expand online sales channels for local small business owners. This project is a program that supports small business owners to sell their products through real-time online broadcasts, moving away from an offline-centered business environment.

Buk-gu Gwangju to Support Small Businesses Entering Live Commerce

This year, Buk-gu plans to support a total of 15 small business owners. In the first round, eight participants will be recruited by the 28th, and the remaining seven will be recruited additionally in August. Selected small business owners will participate in a live broadcast of about 60 minutes with a professional show host, and will receive comprehensive support including pre-broadcast consulting and production meetings, as well as feedback and follow-up management after the broadcast.


Eligible applicants are small business owners who operate their business in Buk-gu and have products that can be sold online. Final participants will be selected through document evaluation and expert review.


Mayor Moon In stated, "This project was prepared to help local small business owners enter the online market stably and find new sales breakthroughs," adding, "We will continue to provide various support so that small business owners can continue to grow as the backbone of the local economy."


Applications can be submitted by referring to the announcement on the Buk-gu Office website and sending the application form and required documents via email.
