Applied to Information Search, Content, Travel, and More
Naver will launch the artificial intelligence (AI) service "AI Briefing," which is free for all users, on the 27th. It provides answers or content that users are likely to want at the top based on search keywords. In the future, Naver plans to expand the scope of AI Briefing and enhance personalized technology.
On the 24th, Naver announced that it will launch the AI Briefing service, which uses generative AI and personalized recommendation technology to provide organized and summarized answers at the top. It is expected to reduce the time users spent clicking through Naver blogs, cafes, and related sites one by one to obtain desired information. Depending on the questions users ask in the search bar, the types are divided into ▲Official/Multisource ▲Short-contents ▲Place ▲Shopping, etc.

First, the Official/Multisource AI Briefing provides core information at the top of search results for queries that have definitive answers or require exploration of various content. It reduces the time to obtain desired information through well-organized summaries and sources, and supports additional exploration of related information through follow-up questions. It will expand to various topics starting from useful and interesting search terms such as various lifestyle information, the latest trending memes, movie endings, and interpretations of last night’s dreams.
For example, when searching for "driver's license renewal required documents" or "passport photo glasses," it summarizes answers using official sources such as government or public institutions and links to related pages. When users want to find the ending of a drama or movie they cannot recall, searching with terms like "OOO ending" helps users quickly grasp the overall content through summarized answers from multiple sources at the top.
The Short-contents AI Briefing summarizes recommended short content so users can quickly grasp the main points and then check additional information in the original content. It not only provides summarized information but also analyzes and recommends information that users who consumed the content might be interested in. It shows collections of sports highlight videos or provides popular place exploration and reservation information. Personalized recommendations will be further enhanced in the future.

The Place AI Briefing helps users explore regional information in an interesting and in-depth way. It will recommend various travel information, including domestic and international hot place information and content tailored to users’ preferences. It will first start with popular Japanese regions such as Osaka and Kyoto and then expand to travel destinations in various countries. For example, when searching for travel themes like "Kyoto travel," a tab showing categorized major content based on frequently searched and widely produced information will appear, providing various themes to obtain useful travel-related information.
Naver plans to expand AI Briefing exposure across various queries within the year, while sequentially introducing new features such as multimodal services through image search and multilingual support including English and Japanese. It will continuously enhance the service so users can experience new AI capabilities.
Kim Kwanghyun, head of Naver’s Search/Data Platform Division, said, "Starting with AI Briefing, Naver Search will be further advanced to provide connections to rich content based on long search service experience and vast user data, making it easier for users to find the information they need. We will prepare to provide new user experiences in a timely manner as the AI agent era arrives in everyday life."
