The Jeongeup City Public Health Center in Jeonbuk is recruiting participants for its 'Free Wheelchair Maintenance and Cleaning Service.'
According to the city on the 24th, this recruitment aims to create a safe and comfortable environment for wheelchair users with disabilities. The service will be held on the 10th of next month at the Saemgol Health Branch located in Sang-dong.

In cooperation with assistive device experts from the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Assistive Device Center, not only maintenance and cleaning but also personalized consultations and the latest assistive device exhibition and experience programs will be provided.
Any wheelchair user residing in Jeongeup City is eligible to apply, and the application period is open until the 31st. This service goes beyond simple cleaning to check the condition of wheelchairs, provide consultations on inconveniences, and offer information on assistive devices tailored to the actual lives of users, with a focus on substantially improving the mobility rights and quality of life for people with disabilities.
An official from the city public health center stated, "Since wheelchairs are essential mobility devices for people with limited mobility, regular inspection and maintenance are very important. We hope many people will show interest and apply for this service."
The city also plans to continuously expand various welfare services to improve the convenience of daily life and promote healthy community participation for people with disabilities.
