Ministry of Culture Holds Regional Tourism Development Project Workshop at National Museum on 26th

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, together with the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, will hold a training workshop on the 26th at the National Museum of Korea for public officials in charge of metropolitan and basic local governments to enhance the performance of regional tourism development projects and strengthen the capabilities of practitioners.

At this workshop, expert lectures will be provided on topics such as local government financial investment review for regional tourism development projects, various permit methods and procedures, utilization of the Tourism Development Support System (TDSS), performance management of regional tourism development projects, and consulting methods. Excellent cases of problem-solving during the promotion of tourism development projects among local governments will be shared, and on-site information exchange will also take place.


The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to further deepen programs to strengthen practical capabilities for regional tourism development projects in the second half of this year by holding a 'Regional Tourism Development Project Workshop' over one night and two days.


Kim Geun-ho, Director of Tourism Industry Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, "I hope that the public officials in charge will strengthen their project implementation capabilities through this training and seek ways to improve project outcomes, contributing to sustainable regional tourism development." He added, "The Ministry plans to regularly organize such opportunities to resolve difficulties in regional tourism development and develop them into venues for information exchange."
