The death toll has risen to four after two people who had gone missing while battling a large wildfire in Sicheon-myeon, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, were ultimately found dead.

According to Changnyeong-gun and other authorities on the 22nd, around 3 p.m. that day, eight wildfire suppression team members and one public official from Changnyeong-gun, who had been deployed to the fire site in Sicheon-myeon, became isolated due to a sudden change in wind direction.

Among them, two team members were found dead, and one team member and one public official who had also lost contact were discovered dead around 9 p.m.

The police and fire authorities plan to recover the bodies from the scene and investigate the cause of death.
