Rising Expectations Among Women Entrepreneurs in Gyeongbuk

The Gyeongbuk Center of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association announced on the 21st that Nam Youngnam, the newly appointed center director, officially took office on the 18th.

Nam Youngnam Appointed as New Center Director... Strengthening Support for Women Entrepreneurs in Gyeongbuk Nam Youngnam, Director of the Gyeongbuk Center at the Women's Enterprise Comprehensive Center, inaugurated on the 18th.

Director Nam, who has successfully operated businesses in RFID electronic tags and medical waste management, is expected to lead the Gyeongbuk Center until December 2027.


Director Nam stated, "I will expand the functions of the Gyeongbuk Center and stabilize its operations to reduce the management burden on women entrepreneurs," adding, "I will revitalize the operation of the Women’s Startup Incubation Center and expand customized support programs to strengthen the domestic and international competitiveness of women-led businesses."


Women-owned businesses have become a key growth engine for the local economy with their creative business models and innovative approaches. However, they face various challenges such as funding, marketing, and lack of networks, making systematic support essential.


In response, the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association provides customized, step-by-step support from startup to growth to help ensure the sustainable development of women-owned businesses.


Based on her business management experience and strategic insight as CEO of 3SC, Director Nam plans to actively support technological innovation and global expansion for women-led businesses in Gyeongbuk.


She also intends to strengthen the women entrepreneurs' network to expand collaboration opportunities and contribute to the development of the local economy.


With Director Nam's leadership, the Gyeongbuk Center will further enhance support for the growth of local women-led businesses and strive to improve the competitiveness of women entrepreneurs.
