Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 21st that it has produced and distributed 1,000 copies of the "2025 Life Cycle Customized Support Guide" to help citizens easily check and utilize tailored support policies according to their life stages.
This guide is organized in the form of a life roadmap covering 14 fields and a total of 113 projects from pregnancy and childbirth to old age, allowing citizens to easily see the benefits that match their life cycle at a glance. In particular, the "multi-child" support field was newly added to strengthen Pocheon City's multi-child policies.
The main support areas include 14 fields: △Pregnancy △Childbirth △Infants & Childcare △Youth & Education △Youth △Jobs & Employment △Housing & Living △Relocation △Returning to Farming △Lifelong Education △Old Age △Multi-child △Funeral & Burial △Others.
In the pregnancy and childbirth field, 23 policies were introduced, including support for folic acid and iron supplements for pregnant women, medical expense support for infertile couples, free prenatal checkups for pregnant women, postpartum care cost support, newborn health insurance support, and childbirth congratulatory money.
In the infants and childcare field, 17 policies were included, such as childcare fees and parental allowance support, newborn childcare book support, babysitting and after-school care services, and operation of comprehensive childcare support centers.
In the youth and education field, 23 policies were introduced, including support for youth club activities, youth historical trips, operation of after-school academies for youth, and universal support for sanitary products for female youth. The youth support field includes 6 policies such as Gyeonggi Youth Basic Income, Gyeonggi Youth Capacity Building Opportunity Support Project, rental fee support for young entrepreneurs, and free rental of interview suits. Pocheon City also operates Happy Housing to stabilize youth housing.
In the jobs & employment, housing & living, and relocation fields, 11 policies helpful for settlement were introduced, including operation of Pocheon (Women’s) Job Center, support for safety packages for single-woman households, interest support for rental deposit loans for newlyweds and multi-child families, and relocation support funds.
For citizens wishing to return to farming, 7 support projects were included, such as support for farming start-ups and house purchases, support for young farmers’ agricultural settlement, and technical and field education for new farmers.
Policies for the elderly include Silver Academy, support for shingles vaccination for those aged 65 and over, dementia screening and treatment management cost support, and in the multi-child field, support for rice for large families, operation of a multi-child mobile app card, and support projects for kindergarten revitalization were introduced.
This guidebook is available at multi-use facilities such as eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers, public health centers, libraries, and various centers, and can also be viewed in e-book format on the Pocheon City Hall website under Sector Information - Life/Education - Population Policy.
A Pocheon City official said, “We produced the guidebook so that citizens can easily check the necessary policies and receive benefits,” adding, “We will continue to provide customized welfare that offers practical help to citizens.”
