KCM and Jinwook Reveal Late That They Are Fathers of Two Children

"I have a child. I started a family to take responsibility for this precious life, but I couldn't tell anyone because I briefly thought I might never be able to return to the stage."

Singers KCM (real name Kang Chang-mo, 43) and Jinwook (32) have belatedly revealed that they are fathers.

KCM announced that he registered his marriage in 2022 with a partner nine years his junior. The couple also revealed that they had settled down in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, and planned to live with his elderly mother. However, recently, news broke through a media report that KCM is actually a father of two daughters.

It turned out that KCM already had daughters aged 13 and 3. According to his agency, KCM welcomed his first daughter in 2012 and his second daughter was born in 2022. The eldest daughter is now a middle school student. At the time of his first daughter's birth, KCM was unable to marry due to financial difficulties, but his circumstances improved ten years later, leading to the marriage registration.

Afterwards, KCM expressed his feelings directly on social media. "I bow my head and apologize to fans who may have been surprised or hurt. My desire to be a good father and a proud husband was premature and immature. I am grateful to my wife and children who have endured for a long time. Although insufficient, I have done my best and walked carefully to protect my precious family. I feel relieved and overwhelmed. I will live harder with a sense of responsibility."

Jinwook was also a 'father singer.' Known for finishing sixth in TV Chosun's trot audition program 'Mr. Trot 2' (2023), he recently revealed that he is married. Through his fan cafe, he confessed, "I have a child born a year ago with my girlfriend. I hesitated to come forward quickly because I didn't want to leave the stage."

Additionally, Jinwook stated that he is currently expecting his second child. He said, "I have been lacking both as a good father and a good singer. I apologize for not meeting expectations due to several thoughtless actions. I will learn more and reflect deeply."
