Income Requirements Relaxed by 50% and Duration by Up to 3 Years Compared to Previous Standards
Applications Accepted at Happy Housing Management Offices from April 1 to 4
Gwangju Urban Corporation (President Kim Seungnam) announced on the 21st that it will significantly relax the eligibility requirements for preliminary tenants in two Happy Housing complexes (Gwangju Station and Seorim Village) managed and operated by the corporation.
Happy Housing is a public rental housing program targeting young people, newlyweds, and others, with rent set at 60-80% of the market rate, aiming to enhance residential stability and reduce housing costs for residents. The corporation operates two Happy Housing complexes, Gwangju Station and Seorim Village, in Buk-gu, Gwangju.
In particular, this recruitment will ease the income requirements by up to 50% compared to the previous standard, and the duration requirements will be relaxed by up to three years. Additionally, for larger units that were previously available only to newlyweds and single-parent families, the supply will now be expanded to allow other groups, such as young people and seniors, to apply in the event of vacancies.
Applications will be accepted from April 1 to 4 at the Gwangju Station Happy Housing Management Office and the Seorim Village Happy Housing Management Office, and can be submitted in person or by registered mail.
For more details, please refer to the rental and announcement section on the Gwangju Urban Corporation website. Consultation is also available through the Rental Housing Call Center, Gwangju Station Management Office, and Seorim Village Management Office.
