Traffic congestion is expected in downtown Seoul this weekend due to pro- and anti-impeachment rallies.
On the 21st, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced, "Rallies and marches organized by tens of thousands of people, including the Emergency Action for Resignation and the Autonomous Unification Party, will be held, causing traffic congestion in various parts of the downtown area."
Pro-impeachment groups such as the Emergency Action for Resignation will hold a rally around Sajik-ro and then march toward Jongno. The Autonomous Unification Party will hold a rally around Sejong-daero.
In the Yeouido area, the anti-impeachment group Save Korea will hold a large-scale rally and march on Uisadang-daero.
A police official stated, "About 220 traffic police officers will be deployed around the rally and march routes to manage traffic, including vehicle detours," and added, "We ask that people use public transportation such as the subway as much as possible."
