Samsung Continues Graphics Memory Partnership with NVIDIA
Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, visited the Samsung Electronics booth on the fourth day of NVIDIA's annual developer conference, GTC 2025, on March 20 (local time), and personally signed Samsung's latest graphics memory (GDDR7).
That afternoon, at GTC 2025 held in San Jose, California, Huang visited the booths of several partner companies in succession. After stopping by the booths of Taiwanese companies Pegatron and Foxconn, he visited the Samsung Electronics booth. In contrast, he did not visit the SK hynix booth.
Upon arriving at the Samsung booth, Huang examined the products on display and asked, "Is this GDDR7?" When a Samsung representative confirmed, he immediately signed the memory on the spot.
On the memory, Huang wrote the name "SAMSUNG," along with the phrases "GDDR7 is the best!" and "RTX goes on," expressing a sense of camaraderie. He also took commemorative photos with Samsung Electronics employees.

The GDDR7 memory is installed in NVIDIA's latest gaming graphics card, the GeForce RTX 5090.
Back in January, at CES 2025, the world's largest IT and electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas, Huang stirred controversy when he responded to a question about whether there was a special reason for equipping the RTX 5090 with Micron memory by saying, "As far as I know, Samsung Electronics and SK hynix do not produce graphics memory."

The very next day, Huang issued a statement revising his position, saying, "The GeForce RTX 50 series will be equipped with GDDR7 products from various partners, starting with Samsung Electronics."
Meanwhile, at last year's GTC event, Huang also visited the Samsung Electronics booth and drew attention by leaving the phrase "Jensen Approved" on the high-bandwidth memory (HBM3e) that was on display at the time.
Huang's booth visit on this day drew significant attention from attendees. When visiting the Foxconn booth, he energized the atmosphere by shouting "Team Taiwan" alongside Foxconn Chairman Liu Young-way, and he was also enthusiastic in responding to autograph and photo requests from both partner company representatives and general visitors.
