Gaseyeon and Kim Saeron's Bereaved Family Accused of Sexual Crime Allegations
"Gaseyeon Illegally Distributed Photos of Kim Soohyun's Body"
Actor Kim Soo-hyun's side has filed a complaint against the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (Gaseyeon), which exposed allegations of 'dating a minor,' as well as the bereaved family of late actress Kim Sae-ron.
On the 20th, the law firm LKB & Partners, representing Gold Medalist, issued a statement announcing that they have filed charges against Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family, who provided Kim Soo-hyun's private photos to Gaseyeon, and the channel operator Kim Se-ui, for "violations of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (distribution of photos taken by cameras, etc.)."
The law firm pointed out regarding Gaseyeon's release of photos of Kim Soo-hyun without pants, "The photos were taken when Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron, who was an adult at the time, were dating," adding, "These photos contain images of Kim Soo-hyun's body that could cause sexual shame and should not be publicly disclosed, nor is there any reason for them to be made public."
They continued, "Posting these photos on the YouTube channel is a clear criminal act, and Gaseyeon is threatening Kim Soo-hyun by stating they will continue to release such photos," adding, "The agency has no choice but to take strong legal action against such behavior."
Regarding the inclusion of Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family as subjects of the complaint, they explained, "The false information spread by Gaseyeon through broadcasts is still spreading in real-time on the internet, continuously fueling baseless rumors," and "The unauthorized distribution of photos showing Kim Soo-hyun's body is not only a serious act that cannot be overlooked but also poses a risk of recurrence, which is why the complaint against the bereaved family was inevitably filed."
Kim Soo-hyun is under suspicion of having dated Kim Sae-ron, who was a minor at the time, for several years. According to the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (Gaseyeon), Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family claims that the late actress dated Kim Soo-hyun for six years starting from when she was 15 years old. Gaseyeon has consecutively released related photos as evidence supporting their romantic relationship. Photos showing Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron kissing on the cheek, and a man presumed to be Kim Soo-hyun washing dishes without wearing pants, have been made public.
Gold Medalist maintains that while the two did date, they did not start their relationship when Kim Sae-ron was a minor.
