April 18-21, During Jeonnam Sports Festival
Kim Yeonja, Jeong Dongwon, Yoon Dohyun Band to Perform on Stage
Jangseong-gun in Jeollanam-do has prepared spectacular performances and festivals in celebration of the 64th Jeollanam-do Sports Festival, which will be held in April. From the opening ceremony of the Jeonnam Sports Festival to a rock festival and a drone show, stages of an entirely different scale are coming to Jangseong.
According to Jangseong-gun on the 21st, a variety of performances and attractions will be showcased at the 64th Jeollanam-do Sports Festival, which will take place from April 18 to 21.
First, as a pre-event for the opening ceremony on the 18th, there will be performances by Song Kyungbae, head of the Daegeum Sound Research Institute and native of Jangseong, and Kim Eunsuk, a Jeollanam-do Intangible Cultural Heritage artist specializing in Gayageum Byeongchang. The Marine Corps band and honor guard will also present disciplined performances.
After the opening ceremony, congratulatory performances will follow. Singers Kim Yeonja, Jeong Dongwon, Son Hoyoung and Kim Taewoo of god, Lyn, and Kim Taeyeon will take the stage to mark the beginning of the festival. After the performances, a multimedia drone show featuring 300 drones will light up the night sky.
On the following day, the 19th, the 'Seongjang Jangseong Rock Festival' will be held on a special stage in front of Jangseong County Office. The lineup includes the Jangseong youth band, 'Cardi' featuring Kim Yeji, a graduate of Jangseong High School, and the Yoon Dohyun Band (YB), celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. In addition, on April 30, the opening ceremony of the 33rd Jeollanam-do Sports Festival for the Disabled is scheduled. The congratulatory performances will feature Park Seojin, winner of 'Hyeonyeok Gawang 2', and singers Kwak Younggwang and Sung Minji.
The organizing committee for the festival stated, "As a large number of spectators is expected, we plan to deploy safety personnel throughout the venue," adding, "We will ensure that residents can enjoy the festival with peace of mind."
Both the opening ceremonies and congratulatory performances of the Jeonnam Sports Festival and the Jeonnam Sports Festival for the Disabled are free to attend.
